The Lithgow Library Expansion project involved additions and renovations to an 1880’s Andrew Carnegie funded library in Augusta, Maine. The project demolished an outdated 1970’s wing and expanded onto an adjacent lot with a new wing that more than double the size of the existing Library. Renovations of the original historic stone building included restoration of the original wood and complete reconstruction of the stain glass windows.
The new $800,000 Oakland Police Station is a single story, slab on grade, wood framed structure constructed over the footprint of the existing building. The town of Oakland hired JF Scott Construction to provide a full spectrum of pre-construction and construction services. The project reached out to local contractors to help maximize the impact on the local economy. The project started in April 2016 and was turned over in August of 2016 on schedule and under budget.
JF Scott Construction was selected by the Town of Oakland in 2018 as Construction Manager on phase two of their municipal building upgrades to construct a new fire station. The fire station was constructed on the same site adjacent to the police station and includes four apparatus bays and a large community room supported by a commercial kitchen. The eight month project was completed under budget.
The $13M new Administration and Operations Building for the Kennebec Water District includes approximately 15,000 sf of service bays for district equipment, 8,500 sf of Administration and support space as well as 10,000 sf of pre engineered storage buildings. Working closely with the Architect allowed this 13 month project to be completed under budget.
